Back Into Our Routine

The kids are back in school. Today, being Wednesday, it’s café time! Sara has keyboard classes today. She could go to her lessons alone, but I continue to escort her. We have this mother/daughter routine that we both rather like.

We drop into a café on the way to the school to drink a cup of tea and read this week’s gossip. Then we wander down to the music school, where Sara has a group lesson, and I do… Nothing! Well, actually, sometimes I do nothing, other times I read, or write a letter, or, much to Sara’s embarrassment I take a quick snooze. (Sara thinks it is very uncool of her mom to sleep when other kids are sitting around waiting for their lessons to start.)
