Give This Man A Cigar
I'm speechless. Even if John Shimkus' speech was taken out of context, which surely it must be, there is no explaining away his ignorance.
This is where I first saw the video and it's worth your time to read Phil Plait's thoughts on the matter.
It might be worth the voters time as well, to ask their candidates about their thoughts on global warming before they cast their votes.

I haven't come completely to terms with global warming. Ad it isn't because some Bible beater. If we put aside greed and the hunger for power, I think most of the issues in our society can be solved.
ReplyDeleteReally Global warming is a much talked topic now a days.The topic is also as warm as its name.It has become a matter of concern for every nation throughout the world.Even if the United nation has intervened in this matter and formed a panel to discuss the issues and find a universal solution to this.I am also very much terrified and apprehensive to imagine about our world after many yeras.Oh no really i am getting afraid and thinking to take some Cuban Cigars to get back to normalcy.Ok its quite apt for Shimukus to raise this issue at this point of time.
