Gil Scott-Heron, I'm New Here

Something so mesmerizing about Gil Scott-Heron's voice and the moving images along the walls and piano keys...

There are still some posts that I am composing concerning my trip to Toronto and Montreal. Been trying to catch up on my google reader and all the emails. Thought I would be able to get so much done today. Not so. Slow as a snail actually would be the best way to describe the pace.

Wonderful to be back, though the time spent with family and friends was brilliant.

Big news... oldest child officially finished with high school (grade 13). How marvelous! Congratulations, dear son of mine.

  1. Bravo and applause for your son from here. Great stuff. Glad you had a grand visit with family too.

I clarified my entry. G and I volunteered to man the AA booth for a three hour period. It was a way to give back to the community and to hand out information to anyone who needed it....and there were several. :)

    Welcome home.

  2. A high school graduate! Congratulations! Where to from here?

  3. Congrats to your boy! Glad to hear you had a great holiday.

  4. Maggie, thanks for clearing that matter up. I thought you were selling your quilts.

LadyFi, it looks like southern Germany for one year and then hopefully for a foreign year in England. Studying computer science.

Charlotte, it was a fabulous time.

  5. RYN: Yes, it's a beautiful city I would love to live in, but retirees must move away as the prices are so high. I'd cheerfully put everything into storage and move, but we could never afford it.

  6. Congratulations to your son, and to you for supporting him through his journey!
